Elbit Systems to provide additional night vision equipment to British Armed Forces

Instro, a division of Elbit Systems UK, secured a contract uplift in October 2024 from the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) to supply additional XACT nv33 compact Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) to the British Armed Forces.

The GBP 16 million contract, which was disclosed on 29 January, will facilitate a gradual implementation of the systems for the British Armed Forces, with Instro having previously supplied more than 3,500 night vision goggles to the British Armed Forces.

Martin Fausset, CEO of Elbit Systems UK stated: “Our success in supplying NVGs to the UK Armed Forces is a direct result of the investment we have made here in the UK. We are committed to providing our troops with the most advanced equipment to ensure they have operational advantage.”

The Micro XACT nv33 night vision system stands as the premier image intensifier in the industry, providing exceptional resolution, ease of use, and remarkably clear images even in challenging conditions.

This lightweight and compact device has been chosen by the UK MOD as the latest in-service night vision system. The nv33 has demonstrated operational effectiveness, maturity, and reliability, thereby enhancing the capabilities of our soldiers.

Designed as user-friendly binoculars, this system can be easily operated with one hand, allowing for independent movement of each tube and featuring a tilt-to-activate function that enables the operator to maintain focus without unnecessary distractions.
