Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) has received the WTB tender from the Materiel and IT Command (COMMIT) of the Netherlands Ministry of Defence for the provision and logistical support of 785 military logistic trucks. These trucks are set to improve the operational capabilities of the Netherlands Armed Forces and are scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2029.
According to the provisions of the supply agreement, IDV is set to provide 8×8 and 6×4 military trucks in three configurations: Semitrailer Tractor, Recovery, and Hook-lift, available with either protected or unprotected cabs. These vehicles are distinguished by their mobility, maneuverability, and reliability, which facilitate logistical uniformity across various platforms and numerous other EU member nations.
The agreement also encompasses an optional addition of 785 vehicles along with integrated logistical support for a minimum duration of 15 years.
This recent accolade signifies a significant achievement in the continuing collaboration between IDV and the Netherlands MOD, succeeding the successful 12kN Manticore Project, which led to the procurement of 1,283 MTV vehicles (Multirole Tactical Vehicle). IDV establishes itself as a reliable partner of the Netherlands Armed Forces, reinforcing its status as a premier manufacturer of land military platforms in Europe.
Claudio Catalano, CEO of IDV, stated: “This significant award further solidifies IDV’s positioning as a key player in the design, manufacture, and delivery of high mobility protected vehicles for defence applications. With over 90 years of experience, we are committed to continue our effort in guaranteeing the highest standards of survivability, performance, reliability and safety to fulfill the diverse needs of the Dutch Armed Forces.”
