Germany to deliver MLRS, APCs to Ukraine

German Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht stated on 15 September that Germany will supply two more MARS II Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) along with 50 Dingo armoured personnel carriers (APC) to Ukraine

Speaking at a Bundeswehr conference, Christine Lambrecht said:

“We have decided to deliver two more MARS II multiple rocket launchers including 200 rockets to Ukraine, on top of this, we will send 50 Dingo armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine.”

Germany handed over three MARS II MLRS to Ukraine back in July.

Manufactured by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, the MARS II MLRS is the German counterpart of the American M270 MLRS missile systems.

The Dingo is a wheeled APC manufactured by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and has been in service with the Bundeswehr since 2003.
