Ukraine warns of general European war

Despite urging no panic over the Russian military build-up near Ukraine’s borders five days ago, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that a Russia-Ukraine conflict would turn into a “fully-fledged” European war during a press conference with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnston.

Boris Johnston arrived in Kyiv yesterday to voice his support to Ukraine amid the ongoing Russian military build-up on Ukraine’s eastern border, Crimea and Belarus which is now approaching 200,000 troops, along with dozens of fighter aircraft, attack helicopters, and special forces units. Logistical support has also been increasing along with the construction of fuel pipelines and medical support units.

The UK has supplied Ukraine will ‘thousands’ of the Main Battle Tank and Light Anti-tank Weapon, also known as the NLAW – a joint British and Swedish short-range fire-and-forget anti-tank missile system.
